Surprises coming for voters for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party

Oh that’s very good.

Right. Corey Booker is now Corey Feldman’s new sidekick since Corey Haim died (wow, fifteen years ago now…)

He still spells his name Cory though, not Corey.

Yet another face eaten by leopards:

Awww, I was gonna post that one…

This face tastes like (probably very bad, under-cooked and yet very crunchy) hamburger!

You can’t be doing business in the boss’s territory unless you let him wet his beak.

I was surprised nobody else posted it before I did.

I totally intended to.

But I got distracted by a shiny thing.

It’s a standard dodge, and not always from the right wing.

“This bigoted statement/attack on (insert religious/ethnic minority) isn’t bigoted at all because we found a member of the group who isn’t offended or even better, actually thinks we’re right.”

We were all laughing too hard.

“Hey, some of my best friends are >racial slur<.”

It’s old enough and common enough to be a clichè.

A lumber plant in Bonner, Montana which made high-end siding for homes shuts down. The causes are unclear: management purchased the plant 5 years ago so at one time they thought they could make money on it. They say the tariffs, “played absolutely no role” in the closure, which tells you that the company (UFP Edge, based in Michigan) wants to stay out of Trump’s crosshairs. Obviously, the uncertainty associated with erratic tariff policy will hurt a construction supplier (and moreover immigration restrictions will make homebuilding more expensive), but while bad policy leads to measurably bad broad economic outcomes, the article didn’t have access to this private company’s accounts.

One Trump supporter who lost his job says this:

“Everyone wants to point fingers and say, ‘Oh, it’s politics that did it,’” said Brandon Barefield, 28, a plant worker who voted for Mr. Trump. “We all lost our jobs. It doesn’t really matter who we voted for.”

I get the sentiment, but dude: policies have consequences and Trump’s were not helpful.

“Mistakes were made”, “Let’s not talk about the past….”

Life must be stress free when nothing is ever your fault.

Quoting the article:

I hear there’s an opening driving the Wienermobile while dressed as a hot dog.

(Yes, I know I referenced this recently but it just keeps being so fucking relevant.)

Funny!

I’d love to share it with my teen son (he’d enjoy the humor), but I’d rather not provide him with a list of porn sites…

Don’t worry. He can find those on his own. :upside_down_face:

It’s a pretty common sentiment among Trump supporters and I’ve seen a few acquaintances over the years lament strained relations with friends and family because of politics. The prevailing sentiment being how sad it was for these relationships to be damaged by something so trivial as politics. I’ve made some attempts to connect the dots for them, explaining how supporting a politician hellbent on hurting others may directly or indirectly hurt their friends and relatives, but for the most part my efforts fall on deaf ears. I’ve found that most people who support Trump are not interested in facing the consequences of their actions.
