San Francisco house. 4 br/2.5 bath. About 3000 sf. Probably a bit below 1.2 M.
The cheapest 3 bed flat or house in the Post Code area we live in is a fixed price of £235k or approx $450k. The cheapest flat (with 3 bedrooms, compared to our 2) in a tenement build like ours is listed just below at offers over £280k ($530k) and is likely to fetch at least 15 - 20% over the asking price… It’ll have on-street parking (permit required) and a shared garden to the rear…

My house is 2300 sq ft, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and I estimate it would go for $800K (Bay Area).

The Realtor.com link doesn’t work on preview - just as well since it has my address on it. 3 or 4 bedroom houses near me, about 1700 square feet, seem to have gone for $800 K or so, so I might be underestimating mine, especially when we get around to staging it. We paid $350 K 10 years ago.
An average 4-bed family home in my parent’s village - about 60 miles north of London - is £700k (about $1.4m).
Mrs Logic and I are buying our first house at the moment - a small 2-bed semi in the midlands similar to this one for £175 ($350k). We’re still in our 20s, and we’ve had to borrow nearly 5 x salary mortgage to get on the property ladder, but it’s the only way we could afford to buy a place of our own.
For London prices you’d need to add 70% minimum.
I rent a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house of about 1500 square feet near Purdue University, for $900 a month. The lot is pretty small–I can definitely see into the neighbor’s windows.
Other 3-bed, 1-bath houses in my area are selling for as little as $72K, though most are in the low $100Ks.

We own a smallish three bedroom, one bath raised ranch in Northern NJ (Morris County, roughly an hour or so from New York City). Finished basement, nice suburban residential street. We’re on about a third of an acre I think, but it’s long and skinny so our neighbors are only a few feet away. We’re about half a mile off of Lake Hopatcong, so our house was built sometime in the 1970s as a summer home (and has the (lack of) insulation to prove it). Paid $260K three years ago. Zillow.com is claiming $321K for me now, which seems puzzlingly high.

My search came back with results from $289K to $309K in my immediate neigborhood. This was the cheapest. It must need work, as I’d expect it to be around $300K based on the description.
We bought a 5 br/2.5 ba back in 2003 for about $432k. Zillow claims a nice appreciation (not like last year, but nice), recommending selling at $546k.
Great schools, nice suburb, within about 20-30 minutes of Chicago. Good stores, train station, etc.
Here’s a 3b/2ba in our suburb: Arl Hts House
