It looks like there are only four women winners that are not on the cast

while there were 12 Men Winners not on cast.

Richard Hatch (Season 1)
Brian Heidek (Season 5)
Chris Daugherty- Vanauau (9) (not to be confused with the runnerup on The Masked Singer, Chris Daughtry)
Tom Westman (Palau) (10)
Aras Baskauskas - (Panama) (12)
Earl (Fiji) (14)
Todd (China) (15)
Bob Crowley (Gabon) (17)
JT (Tocantins) (18)
Fabio (Nicaragua) (23)
Cochran (Caramoan) (26)
Mike Holloway (Worlds Apart) (30)

Chris Underwood (Edge of Extinction)
Tommy Sheehan (Island of the Idols)

Ouch, I wish John Cochran was there. I would think he would have done it. Wonder what happened?

I think it is a wonderful idea and as long as players Like Elaine and Janet getting that much needed cash, I applaud it. Those two deserve the bonus.

Unless they wanted to do a* Weekend at Bernies* thing, Richard hatch will not likely return.

Richard Hatch, the actor best known for playing Captain Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica, died in 2017.
Richard Hatch, the winner of Survivor Season 1, is - as far as I know - still very much alive.
On another subject, it’s my opinion that Amber Brkich would absolutely be the least memorable Survivor winner ever if she hadn’t happened to hook up with Boston Rob. Change my mind.

The nullifier nullifies idols, not votes. But I like the idea of a HII only being able to nullify a set number of votes.

You are right- I am wrong.:smack:

Richard hatch from Survivor* is* alive, it’s only his career which is dead.

The best gameplay this season and I hope they bring it again was when they split into two groups and one person from each group got immunity and another got voted out.

That was a game changer imo

I agree, and one of the key episodes of the season. Tommy was vulnerable in that tribal council.

There has 5 male winners in the last 5 seasons. (FTR the first five seasons of Fire-making challenge at Final 4)

The last 4 seasons has had two males and one female in the final three. The female castaway has exactly ZERO votes to win Survivor.

Ghost Island (Wendell (5 plus tiebreaker), Dominic (5), Laurel (0) )
David v Goliath (Nick (7) Mike White (3), Angelina (0) )
EoE (Chris (9), Gavin (4), Julie (0) )
IotL (Tommy (8), Dean (2), Noura (0) )

Can someone explain the logic as to why the Final Four process was changed, so that the last Immunity winner picks someone to go the final 3?

If they just had a normal TC with a normal vote, the votes could conceivably break down 2-2, or 2-1-1 (with the immunity winner in the minority.)

My (un)educated guess.

TPTB are trying to ensure that the final three does not include two GOATS.

I guess the best example was at Ghost Island.

The final four was Domenick, Laurel, Wendell, and Angela, with Domenick winning the final four immunity.

All indications that Domenick, Laurel, and Angela would have voted out Wendell, basically meaning a landslide win for Domenick as Angela and Laurel were viewed as Goats.

I think players got too good at carrying goats with them to the end, eliminating most of the drama of Final TC. This way, there’s usually a better chance of having at least two players who might actually receive some votes.

(Edit: Or, what notfrommensa said.)

Not this season, otherwise they would have not been so keen on kicking out Karishma.

I think what people are starting to figure out and what Dean has verbalize is that goats are threats because everyone wants to keep them around. Which is great if you’re going to make the final 3, but it also makes it harder for you to make the final 3.

If they really want to keep around the final four challenge, I hope they mix it up and not make it fire making every time. Because now, knowing a basic survival skill makes you a huge threat. Tommy even said he never made fire at camp because he didn’t want people to know he was good at it.

I also dont like how the final three is determined. The imunity challenge winner should not be the one to choose whos going to be in the final three.
To keep with the spirit of the game and the tribal council why not have the jury vote for the two that will be in the final three but they dont get to talk, they dont get to ask questions, just listen to what the 4 players have to say.

Another option then is to have the three players draw fire.

I think I like that the final IC winner chooses. It’s a throwback to when there used to be a final 2, and the final IC winner just flat-out picks who goes to the jury, not even any voting.

(I’m not mixing that up with Big Brother, which I think still does that, right? They both had final 3 winner choose final 2?)

Yeah, both the change from final 2 to final 3 and the addition of the fire-making challenge have been attempts to spice up the final vote and avoid the presence of one or more goats making it a unanimous vote. The players have adapted and goats at the end are still happening. I suspect they’ll change it up again soon. Though with a season of all winners, it’s hard to call anyone a goat, so maybe they’ll go back to a normal final 3 or even final 2 this time.
