That’s was laughable. He’s the one I would pick to do the best on his own in the wilderness. Each time he has been sent to Exile Island, he has came back in just as good of shape as he left in, if not better.
Especially when he made the comments that the RC is specifically designed to splinter them. Well, no kidding. Anyone who’s watched this show for more than a couple of seasons knows the “Pecking Order” RC at this point is to shake out the order of who goes out when.
I’m liking him more and more.
Shane - what an ass. Yeah, Shane, Bruce needs to go NOW. You had no worry about walking around naked before, but when they want you to help carry the stretcher, you’re suddenly shy. Put some damn pants on!
And WVMom, I took Courtney’s being upset at Shane’s remarks not at his killing her, but at his slams at the size of her apartment, too. She’s a self-centered bitch.
I read that as “I can’t win because I’m down and Cirie’s got this one, so I’ll just have some fun with Terry”. It looked to me like Terry took it that way too.
When Courtney was comforting Bruce, was she chanting over him?
Yes, I think she started to, but Bruce said, “Don’t” and she stopped.
Seemed like a good idea to me. In fact, in his position I would have voted for Terry for every single negative question. He knows he has a target on his back - why risk pissing everyone off for a reward?
Exactly! Lose every question, and you don’t have to cut anyone – what’s the point of making enemies/showing your hand?
And you might get the reward, anyway – just be all gosh and humble if you get picked.
But even if you all pick the same person for questions, you’re still also cutting each other’s ropes. There’s no way around that.
This season is so boring that even a medical evacuation is a yawn.
I can believe Shane has a son. He’s so whacked out, that I wouldn’t sleep with him for fear of him killing me in the morning.
And why is his body a note-pad? It seems to have just random scribbles on it. I keep waiting to see “pick up the dry-cleaning” tattooed on his ass.
Yeah, at the final question, I think Aras was just giving the reward to Cirie. He probably figured that she would probably take him on the reward anyway; this way, she gets to be the bad guy by leaving people behind and he doesn’t have to piss anyone else off in the alliance. I don’t like him, but he understands the game the best out of everyone who is left.
I missed the first twenty minutes or so, because I had to go get ice cream.
I came back just in time for Shane’s tantrum, though. I wonder if he’s sitting at home, watching it, thinking “Man, I’m an ass.”
We can only hope.
I still like Terry, even though he is pretty arrogant. Aras has moved from tool status to I’m-withholding-judgment-on-him status. The rest of them, especially Cirie–ESPECIALLY CIRIE–are loathsome. I can’t stomach giggly, sappy women. That said, she has played the game very well.
So who’s on the chopping block for next week? Terry, obviously, if he doesn’t get immunity, but what if he does? If it’s true that Aras, Cirie, and Shane are still tight, do they target Courtney or Danielle for elimination? I have to guess Danielle, since they all hate Courtney so much and would keep her around to go against in the final two. If Terry does get immunity, then I suspect he’ll sit tight and not save anyone. He needs to keep the idol as long as he can.
Could next week be the car reward?
Missed the first 20 minutes?!
Man, three of us were ROFL during that RC. IMO, the 1st 1/2 of yesterday was one of the best 1/2 eps of Survivor EVER!
I agree with the thinking that Aras intelligently took a dive - not only did he not have to cut any of his teammates’ ropes, but he did not piss them off by calling them annoying, weak, posuers (“the answer is YOU Courtney.”) LOL!
My question is, what type of medical attention do you think Bruce got before the guys in the boat came. I mean, he strikes me as quite the drama queen. But the show would have been up shit’s creek if he had had a real medical emergency.
I sensed from the medic that they showed that he did not think it was a really critical emergency.
Quite a gift for Terry, in the respect that it means one less IC he needs to win. But it does lessen his chances of spinning Bruce and 2 more into an alliance. At this point, I don’t get the sense anyone really wants to ally with Bruce anyway. He might be the most impressive contestant ever to make it to the final 2 and then lose.
No, he’s probably at home thinking …“why the hell didn’t she pick me?”
Yeah, once I came home (with my ice cream) and saw what I must have missed, I was kind of upset. I also missed the last ten minutes, which was probably not nearly as entertaining.
Now that you mention it, it WAS a good half-hour. I’m enjoying it more playing it back in my mind than I did watching it air. I’m so sour on this season that I’m probably failing to enjoy the good stuff when it happens.
But what we’ll all remember a year from now, of course, is the second half of the show, featuring night-vision footage of 58-year-old Bruce suffering enough pain from 12 days of constipation that he had to be hauled off on a stretcher by a naked lunatic. Because, that’s just good television.
I think Aras, Shane and Cirie are hoping to get rid of Terry and Danielle and take Courtney to F4 and ultimately, they all hope to take her to F2. Cirie has the poorest chance of getting to F2 because she can’t win the final immunity and she is too nice/well-liked to choose over anyone else. If Shane won immunity, he would take Courtney, and she would probably take Shane. Aras, the most likely immunity winner of those four, could take Shane or Courtney.
But that’s a big IF. I think Aras still has the problem that Terry keeps voting for him, and eventually the Idol will be used and Aras will be picked off (because I don’t think the rest of his alliance will protect him by dividing their votes).
Terry will be in F4 unless he loses the next two ICs. I don’t think that will happen.
That was never determined. It just sort of happened. It’s been too long now for me to remember what might have lead to it. At the time I was just trying to deal with the agony. In my case my abdomen was distended such that it looked as if I’d gained 30 pounds. I looked for that on Bruce, but didn’t see it.
My hubby once developed constipation that was so bad that even after colonoscopy prep, which should flush everything out of your system, he still was impacted halfway up his colon. Some people are just talented, I guess.
We were talking about Terry yesterday – the problem with Terry’s arrogance is that it’s really earned. He is the best of the best; you just don’t get to be a fighter pilot without being far more talented than most people in an awful lot of areas. That being said, of course, I’ve known fighter pilots who turned the arrogance to humor and were far more pleasant people to be around. But I can’t fault Terry for what he’s earned.
