ok, I’m liking the show, but damn is that young team dumb. You can’t hide the immunity idol clue. When the next people get the treemail and it says “Clue 2”, they’ll be like, “uh, where’s clue 1?!” And if they are allowed to get treemail twice in a row, then the rest of the team is pretty stupid. Best solution would be to send one of the first 2 with the next 2 and try to form a 4 person alliance around the clues.
Strategy 101, if someone comes to you and says, “I trust you all the way” and you don’t feel the same…do NOT say, “uh, actually I’ve already got an alliance and we’re going after a majority of the tribe.”
The mound has an 8 in it, and the alpha sub is H = 8. So “buried 8 yards west of the mangrove” is the bulk of the clue. What the crossed bones means is unclear? “X” marks the spot?
Hopefully one of the douche brothers isn’t passing on this type of thinking to his 3 kids. That would be Shannon, Mr. Stripper Tits. His areolas are the size of dinner plates. This abnormality coupled with the fact he has a girl’s name might be the reason why he’s bitter toward women?
As for the other douche bro, well even with all the blurring, I can confirm the boy has been snipped.
Anyone else think Yve could pass for Brenda’s mom or at least aunt?
And last lastly, I think we might see some “major crazy” come from Jimmy T. or even Tyrone before they get the boot.
Wait, is the clue 8 yards or 64 yards west of the mangrove? Or is it eight from the mound multiplied (crossed bones) by eight from the cipher to get 64? Or is it eight yards away and at a height (h) of eight feet? I’m more confused than ever. How did you get 64 Silenus?
I was loving the fire-making capabilities! She was so right when she went to tribal council and said she didn’t think it was right to come out and not be able to make fire and that she practiced for it.
As we were watching Fabio jump into the trees with the machete, I totally thought he is going to injure himself and get thrown out of the game. Shannon irked me as well. He seems like a real ass. I do hope one-legged Kelly sticks around, I was shocked that everyone was calling “sympathy vote” on her so early. They didn’t do that when deaf Christy was in the game and she kicked ass, IMHO. From her CBS bio page:
Goat lady was hard to watch once she got started trying to save herself. You knew it was over for her…
192 feet is too much distance to ask for people without any measuring devices to get enough precision. Has to be 24 feet. Then again, 8 feet is bordering on too deep.
Could somebody walk me through the substitution cipher from soup to nuts? How do we know H=8, and what do the other two lines mean?
E = V means “E is the 5th letter” (Roman Numerals). J = X means “J is the 10th letter”. Therefore, H = VIII (8th letter).
Seems clear to me the latter part of the clue is “8 yards (west or towards the sun) (from or there is) a mangrove tree”. The first part could be a starting point or the ending point. I think more likely it’s the ending. Any possibility it’s a cave rather than a mound?
I’m not too “up” on the contestant’s names yet, but I could have sworn that one of the older female contestants sounded JUST like Sarah Palin… Was that the goat-herder lady???
This one is starting off slow, IMO, but they always get better with time. I usually don’t get really interested until after the merge.
Not sure I’m on board with the new rule giving one team an up in the challenges. Especially since they seem to be doing it every week, alternating teams. I wonder if it’s meant to stop one tribe from dominating in the challenges.
I think the first episode of every “elimination” reality show should be two hours, like The Apprentice last night. It gives you a chance to learn a little about the contestants, and creates a little mystery about who is going to be booted. In Survivor, there were two and only two possibilities for the booting, and one was very unlikely.
I thought they said they’ll give it to the other tribe after it’s used - the old tribe gets to keep it for the next challenge. In fact, a strong tribe might want to never use it, just to make sure the other tribe can’t get their hands on it.
