(WARNING: In case anybody is unfamiliar with consumption junction, I should warn that it is a site that is sponsored largely by pornographic websites, and that visitors are likely to see pop-ups or ad banners containing images that some people might find offensive. For those of you who are familiar with some of the content of CJ, dont’ worry-- this link is to a text file!)
The link does not go to a text file. The link goes to the main page, which does indeed have full frontal nudity on both its sidebar and its banner ads.
Which link I just opened with my 12-year-old daughter peering over my shoulder, “When are you going to be done with the computer…Mom?..what…are you LOOKING at…?”
flup, I have a book you might be interested in. It’s called Wicked Words: A Treasury of Curses, Insults, Put-Downs, and Other Formerly Unprintable Terms from Anglo-Saxon Times to the Present by Hugh Rawson. It’s a pretty neat compilation. You can probably find it at Amazon.
Swearing dates back to the early days of the earth, to a caveman by the name of Fuk. Not knowing how to say anything else but his name, he screamed it at high decibel levels when he stepped in a fire. Other cavemen followed this practice whenever this happened, unless they only knew how to say their name and not Fuk’s. These followed, and eventually Fuk and the other cavemen-Schit, Damm, and Crapp-were condemed, some more than others. Fuk was condemed first, as he started it. It came to the point to which Fuk could not even say his own name.
