Do y’all still do it? Is there a secret way to keep the sleeves there without having to pull them up all the time or wearing out the elasticity?
Thanks

Back in the 80s in high school I wore sweaters a lot over my dress shirt (we wore shirts and ties to the all-boys Catholic high school I attended), I would roll up my shirt sleeves once or twice to hold the sweaters in place. I have yet to devise a way to otherwise hold them in place without wearing out the elastic, at least temporarily. I no longer wear sweaters in this style as it appears to have gone out of fashion. But then again, what the heck do I know avbout fashion? Why, back in the 80 I used to …um, forget it.
You use a rubber band to hold the sleeves up. Just slip the rubber band over your wrist, fold up the wrist of the sleeve so that it covers the rubber band, and then shove the sleeve up to the ideal spot on your forearm.
I do it not out of any desire to be fashionable, but out of a desire to avoid being overheated.
N, thanks. I’ve used the rubber band thing, but for some reason unbeknownst to me, it makes me start to itch underneath! Allergic to rubber, I guess.
Basically just wanted to know if people think this is still fashionable or if it’s really 80’s, as DTT mentions in his post. (Of course, with me it would be really 60’s!

Get a pair of sleeve garters and a green plastic visor.
