Sylvester Stallone ..... yeah, you guessed it

Accused of forcing 16-year old into threesome.

Say it ain’t so, Rocky.

I had him in the Celebrity Sexual Assault Pool.

This is hearsay from a former boss, but I heard it many years ago and was always suspicious of Stallone:

Let’s see - a friend of the wife of my former boss was a hairdresser in Hollywood. She went out on a date with Stallone and came back weeping and said that he had raped her. My former boss, generally a skeptical kind of guy, was completely convinced that her story was true.

I’ve been thinking about this story lately, what with all the crappy news coming out of Hollywood. Now that I’ve read your link, I’m convinced her story was true.

I wonder…

So… how good was he and was the water warm?

My surprise level on this one is somewhere between Louis CK (the only surprising thing is anyone was surprised) and Joss Whedon (didn’t expect it, as such, but it makes sense in hindsight).

Don’t want to hijack, but Joss Whedon? I missed that one. When did that hit the news?

Remember when, if you saw a celebrity you liked in the headlines, all you had to worry about was that they might be dead?

Whedon’s wife has accused him of serial cheating, and claims that he was gaslighting her so hard about it that she developed PTSD. To my knowledge, none of the women he’s supposed to have slept with have spoken up, and Whedon himself is refusing to comment, citing concern over their children seeing their parents fight in public. IIRC, the story broke a month or two before the Weinstein stuff exploded.

Couple months ago. It’s not the same level as the others (his treatment of his ex-wife regarding his adultery is the big issue - the uneven power and resulting dubiousness of consent with a lot of the women is mostly an afterthought)…but his reaction - painting himself as a victim of ‘needy women’ - is a huge red flag.

That’s exactly what he did. He denies it.

All the rumors I’ve heard involve a glass top table.

The Governator has to be next.

Arnold? He’s been accused many times over the years. It was a pretty big news story when he first ran.

Well I for one am shocked.

Oh, I’m always the last to know.

You know, I’ve never bought into the idea that Whedon is a feminist icon the way some have. But I read his ex-wife’s statement and she seemed really mentally unbalanced. She claimed to have been diagnosed with PTSD because he cheated on her. It’s hard for me to see a competent therapist making such a serious diagnosis for adultery. It usually requires credible fear of death or injury to person or loved ones. She made it sound like he was doing the moral equivalent of beating her daily. The whole thing smacked of a need for revenge and seemed very insincere.

I don’t know who he slept with or under what circumstances. But that article read to me like someone bitter and mentally unstable trying to ruin his career and pass it off as a social justice message. I’m a little sensitive to these things (not necessarily accurately) because I grew up with a mom who had Borderline personality disorder. That’s what it felt like, a letter from Mom. I was ultimately underwhelmed.

I mean, I’m sure the guy had issues. But as I don’t tend to lionize famous people I really didn’t feel much letdown.

Ryan Seacrest, you’re up.

Maybe we should just have a “Celebrity accused of sexual assault/harassment of the day” thread…

Way back in 2003, a report on allegations dating back even further to the 70s.
