Tackiest Tourist Trap

Disney’s new California land…about 10 rides, 2 cool ones, and about 1,000 gift shops with the usual tacky crap and lots of overpriced restaurants. On top of $43 to get in!

A parade with proudly showing different cultural aspects of California like…
Mexican gang bikes made out of chains, Chinese take out…

They’ve really done it this time.

Stay away!

Oh, the mall next to it… unless you like wasting money, I would stay out. Prices are 5x what they should be.

A girl.

I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Route 30 East (a.k.a. the Lincoln Highway East) is one long string of tackiness. Phony Amish stuff and strip malls as far as the eye can see.

What’s really sad is the amount of prime farm land that’s gone to waste under all that blacktop… while the Amish community, the group the tourists are ostensibly coming to see, is suffering from lack of land for its young people to farm.

Preach on brother Jackmannii!

Why yes, I live in Sioux Falls, SD. The only thing to do here is drink… heavily.

…and by the way… who doesnt have a stuffed Jackalope over their front door?
