My first thought when reading this was, “this is the exact story I would use if I were some rich guy who was at a cheap club but didn’t want anyone to know I went there.” I didn’t go to that club, you see I was uh drugged, then, uh dragged to the club - yeah that’s the ticket.
This isn’t to say that I read the facts about the case or the article; this is just the thought that came into my head reading the comments. Carry on.
I know strip clubs get quite an unsavory reputation around here (not completely undeserved) but the idea that a club would allow drugged, unconscious bodies to be carried in to their establishment and have their pockets rifled through strikes me as a bit outlandish.
The Champagne Room managers at those high-end joints are more watchful. So the ripoff girls may avoid the venues.
Plus they do mention Scores as one of the locations of the scams. Though today only the name remains of the famous strip club of the late 90s/early 00s – the original was busted for all sorts of the sort of fun that brings in the big spenders, then went under and the name was among the assets sold off – it still weighs heavy on the wallet to party there.
Which brings up one of the top rules of conscientious stripclubbing: Leave Home Without It. Cash only - when it runs out, so do you.
When the CC company does not see fit to say “hey, wait, hold that” on this sort of authorization request, that tells me it’s not unusual for the dudes to have huge Food/Beverage/Entertainment splurges.
Or is the idea that they were drugged but still conscious?

I saw a link to an article with some pretty women, none of whom were Mila Kunis. I R confused.
Anyway, it’s not about the attractiveness of the women, really, but about their avariciousness. The men didn’t actually spend that much money on those women, did they? They got conned.
Did she deserve it? She stole it, so presumably not. Was she good enough looking to charge that much, or was the client a fool? Neither, again, because she stole it. I assume she was advertising cheaper rates than that.
Mila Kunis shows up in post #6 by DataX, who was pointing out that the women in the first link weren’t “done up” and then linked to a page that had pictures of famous women without makeup, the first picture being Mila Kunis.
It’s amazing how pretty someone can look after one has had several large top shelf margaritas.

Heh… The Daily News had an interview with someone else who now claims to have also been a victim(*), saying essentially that when he woke up having blacked out the night before, he feared he must have got taken the night before… “for something like 7 thousand” and “no way in God’s green Earth 40 thousand”.
Y’know, that sort of statement tempts you to slap the alleged victim.
(* and you know now they’ll start coming out of the woodwork claiming this…)
How can one tell what another deserves just by looking?
She is doable, but not hot. It was my understanding a big motivator for affairs (for men) is finding someone who listens to them, makes them feel attractive and treats them well. If the stripper can play off as the sympathetic ear and friendly fuck buddy her looks wouldn’t be that important.
HAVE they done this scenario yet?
And meanwhile, well, with this publicity at least we know that for this summer some category of entertainment venue in the city will become very conscientious about making sure everyone knows and understands clearly what’s on the tab…
