If you don’t make people choose, they won’t.
If you do, they’ll choose against you.
I’m with Bender on this one, kill all humans…

The trick is to offer them the choice in such a way that they think they’re screwing you, but are in fact plumping for the only option you would have been prepared to entertain anyway.
Yeah, people are just shit.
Now, what’s this thread about?
I’ll use this tactic to prey on people’s ego’s to get my way when driving in traffic.
Most people dont want to be passed, so I make like I am going to pass them, which in turn causes them to speed up. I then slow back down to my normal cruising speed and they are out of my way. They feel they’ve won the battle because they didn’t let me pass them, but in reality I just wanted them to move - the mechanism used to move them is irrelevant.
Seconded. Spill the beans, OP: why kill us all?
sigh
Fine. You win. I’ll relieve you of your cash burden.
Well, humans, right? I just have a peculiar life situation unfolding where I keep doing the “Ok, learn from your experiences, let’s try this instead then” thing and it just keeps backfiring in an almost comic fashion. I’ve just tried two stupid strategies with women (and other men) over the past 2 years:
A: “Ok, him or me” and
B: “I’m uncomfortable but can’t make you choose”
Outcomes:
Case A: him.
Case B: both. :smack:
I think I need to be more discriminating to begin with.
