Ike is absolutely right. You know, these daughters HAVE a job right now–it’s called GOING TO SCHOOL!!! If they need to see mom work (or dad), let them go during the summer when most of them will be bored out of their gourds anyway!

I also vote for it being sexist and distracting as heck. Fortunately, not one of my students brought their kids to class today.

Sigh…The purpose of “Take Your Daughters to Work Day” is to combat the favoritism that is usually shown to boys. An attempt is being made to encourage girls to be ambitious instead of passive. If the program is expanded to include boys as well, everyone will be giving attention to boys instead of girls, and we’ll be right back to square one.
