UN runs bakeries that are managed and staffed by women in Kabul the Afghan capital. They sell bread at subsidized prices. The Taleban have ordered them to close down.
How do they support these actions morally? I know not all Muslims share the beliefs that the Taleban is using to conduct this war on women; I worked with a woman who covered her hair and was a devout Muslim. What is the difference that drives the Taleban to demand that women not work outside the home?
Does anyone here thing they are right? If so why?
