The missing link between Roxy Music and Talking Heads was probably Split Enz, who were produced by Phil Manzanera on their second album Second Thoughts, and who wore their Roxy influences on their sleeve, even in their later New Wavier stuff: compare Stuff and Nonsense with Nobody Takes Me Seriously.
IIRC, one on each was always Ferry’s current girlfriend.
ETA: Guess not, although Ferry was the photographer. Country Life was censored at one point, but not always since I have the uncensored cover.
