Tally your newly arrived birds. Spring!

The other day I was driving home past a swampy area and the peepers were so loud I could hear them with the windows rolled up and the radio on. That brought huge smile to my face!

Last night there were a couple of sparrows roosting in my front porch. They come and go all summer and this is the first that I have seen of them this year. They are so cute; little balls of feathers snuggled up together up in the corners.

Big ones count, right?

Don’t ask me what specific variety they were, but it seemed like every time I went outside during daylight in the last week, there would be some honking birds flying overhead or hanging out at the lake; based on the honking I’m guessing some tipe of geese. There are swans and ducks who live in the lake permanently, but no honkers.
