I know tanning is bad, etc. and so forth. I’m just curious.
Every time I have ever done indoor tanning, there have been countless signs up that say something to the effect of, “Do NOT use outdoor tanning lotion while in the beds.”
There’s also tanning at my gym and they recently put up the following sign, “If people continue using outdoor lotion in the beds, we will be forced to no longer offer tanning to our clients. The outdoor lotion is breaking our beds.”
How does it break the beds? How do they know? What the heck is so bad about the outdoor lotion? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always used the indoor stuff, as I felt that it hydrated my skin better; but why on earth couldn’t you use the outdoor stuff?
Hopefully someone here knows, as this has always bugged me. A question for the ages, it is.
