Tapatalk, Android app for accessing the Straight Dope and other forums, now FREE on Getjar

So it is. I’d never heard of Getjar until now. Thanks Revtim!

Not for Galaxy SII unfortunately.

I have it on mine. I had to install the GetJar market app to get it, but it works just fine.

Didn’t know there was a GetJar app. Maybe it’s US-only, as I can’t find it in Android Market on my phone.

Yeah, the GetJar market app is a competitor to the Google Android Market, so you won’t find it there. Instead, you’ll have to download GetJar’s market app from their site and then, once that’s up and going, you can get Tapatalk for free.

Us iPhone users still have to pay for it though.

Thanks!!!
(ETA: I don’t know if it’s common knowledge or not, but the Amazon App Store does something similar–a free app per day. Some very useful things from them! As with here, you need to go to Amazon and download their Store app first.)

Again, thanks~

No problem.

FYI, here’s a good app that gives you notification every day at the time of your choosing that tells you what Amazon app is free:

Yep, I just tried to download it from GetJar and the phone automatically switches me to the App Store where it costs $2.99. It appears that the phone won’t allow me to download the free version.

I can see how that can be useful, but I’ve gotten in the habit of wrapping up my tablet every night and putting it beneath a houseplant–then every morning I leap out of bed, race downstairs, tear through the wrapping, and see what wonders Amanta brought me! Sometimes I leave out milk and cookies to feed the Amareindeer. Weeeeeeee!

Yeah, I can see how that would be more satisfying!

Did you see today’s? OfficeSuite Pro 5, normally 15 bucks!

Heh, I’ve had ‘Docs to Go’ on my got-to-get-around-to-buying-a-license list for a while. Thanks Amazon!

How to install the apk games with getjar?

Reported.
