Tardy is my middle name.

My boss informed me today that I’ve been tardy 9 times in the past month. (I work 4 days a week). SHe said if I get any more tardies, I’m “dismissed.” Why can’t I drag my ass to work on time? We even get a 5 minutes grace period after the clock changes.

She was very generous though. She’s supposed to suspend me after 6 and fire me after 9. She only gave me a disciplinary couseling statement after 9. God Bless Publix.

Stuff like that makes me realize how lucky I am. No one ever notices when I’m late for work. OTOH, of course, that may well just be an indication of how expendable I am.

Set your alarm clock to wake you 30 minutes earlier, go to bed 30 minutes earlier, and start off to work 20 minutes earlier. It’s really the only way to make sure you’ll get to work on time every single day.

I used to run late for everything. Then I spent several years in the military, where I absolutely HAD to be on time for everything or get written up. Nowadays, as a civilian, I’m back to running late for everything. But that’s because I can get away with it. If I MUST be on time for some reason, I just bite the bullet and set the alarm clock 30 minutes earlier.

For the record, I have enver been tardy a day in my life (school, job).
It doesn’t amount to anything, but I do put it on my resume.

My alarm clock is set ahead. The trick is, I don’t know how far ahead it is. Something like 20-35 minutes fast. Because I don’t know for sure, I HAVE to get up when the alarm goes off, and I haven’t been late for work in more than a year.

Praise be my maker for the wonder that is flex time! I can start whenever I want, provided it is before 10:00 and just work 8 hours from there. So, no I’m never late

I aso set me alarm clock about 5-10 minutes ahead. Most of my clocks in myhouse are that way, except for the one on top of the TV. That way I assume it is later and get into my car right on time. I haven’t been late for over 6 months using this method. It doens’t really mess with your sense of time either. Just make you either early or on time for things.

I too set my alarm ahead. 15 minutes I think… and it works wonders on getting my butt out the door in time.

I’m always friggin late. I even do the random clock time stuff. Thing is, I end up laying in bed doing head-math to figure out JUST how much longer I can lay there, dreading another horrible day.

I’ve always figured out how far off my clock is within a week.
