The all-conquering hero from California quits after one game. Poor baby.

Word was he had attitude trouble and pissed off Coach Rod but I had no idea it got this bad. I thought after all the talking to him that he would at least be number 2. I dismissed the warnings that we was three as a discipline maneuver to get him to fall into line.
Didn’t I read/hear last year that this kid grew up idolizing Michigan Football?
You can read all about him and his family on the very modest website that they put together.
Butbutbut how can this be. Todd Marinovich’s dad was so successful with his other efforts otherwise.
His dad says ,no way is he leaving U of M.
Thank you, Lam, Lamar Mundane, for providing the website you just provided. It’s enlightening nature enlightened me to the Forcier family (who I will restrain myself from writing a 20 sentence paragraph about that uses both full and nick names at the same time.)
I feel bad for the kids. Those parents couldn’t do much worse if they were deliberately trying to raise douchebags.

That site should be a parody. If it’s not, it’s just incredibly sad.
So far he has semi quit. He has not officially quit, Both of his brothers quit their colleges ,so there is precedence. But Denard is a running Qb and they don’t last through a whole season. He will still get his chance.
Mediocre quarterback leaves crumbling program. Meh.
Poor fellow looked pretty miserable all by himself on the bench yesterday…TV cameras did him no favors by repeatedly focusing on him either. Plenty of FCS programs probably could use a quarterback (on the bench)!
“I’m out” is a well-known phrase in football circles, as in the answer to the question “Are you in or are you out?” asked by coaches across the country. The answer better be “I’m in.” Regardless of what his father thinks, Forcier said a very bad thing. He might be able to mend the fence, but he’s got to do it with all the coaches and players as well. They all know what he meant.
Darrell Scott joined the Colorado football program on national television 21 months ago. He left it Tuesday via a text message to coaches.
“I’m out,” was his reply to a text message coach Dan Hawkins sent him in mid-afternoon after Scott was seen at the Dal Ward Center making several trips through the front doors carrying some of his belongings

From the QBForce website:
The coaches and their friends always wanted to play their sons at the position of quarterback, shortstop, or pitcher, “baseball being the worst”! Instead of fighting a no win situation we simply moved onto the new Clairemont Pop Warner down the street.
and
The following year there was so many problems with younger brother Chris Forcier’s coaches and again their desire to play their own sons at quarterback that we had no choice but to leave.
It seems the family has a long history of picking up their ball and going home when things don’t work out for them. Great lessons for the kids, there, “Mike, Michael Forcier (dad)” and “Sue, Suzanne Forcier (mom).”
As an OSU alum I am contractually obligated to hate Michigan, but shame on the bloodsuckers in the media for trying to drum up controversy. There’s no reason to stick a microphone in front of Tate or constantly show him on TV.

He is better than that. He came here when a coach change blew up everything. Coach Rod had a completely different offense than the previous coach. They gladly let Mallet walk and he had a great arm and could go deep but did not fit his program. Then none of the players were Rods recruits until now. So Forcier got his chance and played fairly well for a program that did not gel at all. He should have shut up and sat, his chance would have come back again.
