Tawny port appreciation thread

I have just gotten myself drunk on a very expensive bottle of 20-year tawny port. I can’t be bothered to go look at the name on the bottle, but it is gooooodd…if only I could afford to do this on a regular basis.

Tawny port is the nectar of the gods, as far as I’m concerned. Oddly, I don’t much care for red wine - too “heavy”, or something. But a good tawny port is just wonderful. Who’s with me?

I’m with you. I love the stuff, though I’ve never gotten drunk on it alone. I usually have a glass of it after wine or beer. I think of it like a nightcap, to savor. It leaves a nice taste on my tongue.
