Tea Party Summer Camp for Kids! Apparently, not a joke.

What’s this “pretty soon” stuff?

I … hadn’t thought about it that way until now. You, my dear, are absolutely correct, and I, my dear, am absolutely horrified now.

Sure those kids will only be at camp for a few weeks. But they’ll learn a valuable lesson that will last them a lifetime.

They’ll learn that Tea Party people are nuts.

We had a woman that used to post here that said she was married to the Berlin Wall. She got real upset when other posters suggested she might have mental issues. She said that she was free to believe whatever she wanted to believe.

I posted we’re all free to believe whatever we want to believe. She’s free to believe she’s married to the Berlin Wall. And the rest of us are free to believe she’s crazy.

So people are free to be Tea Partiers. And people are free to laugh at Tea Partiers.

Please tell me you have a link to a Berlin Wall marriage thread.

Just as soon as we’re done playing Pin the Blame on the Liberals.

Tea Party Tots. Got a nice ring to it!

Sounds like a great way to completely turn kids off to civics class. But whatever floats your boat.

You’re right - one of the first things I thought about is how this thing is so very much not like Schoolhouse Rock! Gee, we could either set the Preamble to the Constitution to a catchy little tune for kids to remember, or we could make them pick up confetti in order to teach them responsibility.

I wonder if they warn them beforehand that they will be picking up the confetti afterwards, so that they can exercise their right to not throw the confetti in the first place. Or are they required to engage in collective activities with the group? Are they required to say the Pledge of Allegiance during Tea Party Summer Camp?

I’m assuming the confetti will be made out of select parts of the Constitution…

Not a “collective activity”. This is a group of individuals acting in unison around a common goal. Collective activity is brain-numbed ciphers acting in lockstep unity to the demands of the hive-mind. Totally different.

But nothing later than the 12th Amendment.

“Red-white-and-blue confetti will be thrown. But afterward the kids will have to clean up the confetti, learning that with freedom comes responsibility.”

You mean like when you fuck up the environment and have to fix it after you…oh wait, never mind.

When I skimmed through this thread I saw this a “Lap Dance Camp”. Well my parents never sent me to Lap Dance Camp :frowning:

Earl Grey?

Close. Acapulco Gold.

It’s not that great. Turns out you have to learn how to lap dance. The instructors are fat middle aged guys.

Pssst: Actually, that was one of several futile attempts at renaming Camp Crystal Lake. (Some attempts fooled the public, but none fooled Jason.)

Presumably she’s a widow now.

Apparently this wasn’t a joke: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2035996/Woman-married-to-Berlin-Wall-for-29-years.html

It appears my memory played me false. There were some threads on this board joking about the situation but the thread where she posted back was on Opal’s Fathom board not here.

Here’s an article about the woman.
