Teach me how to use Instagram

I am led to believe that nobody under the age of 40 uses Facebook. Therefore, in attempting to promote my small selection of products, I would do well to open an Instagram account.

I know exactly zero about how it works. And, how to use it to try to sell products.

If anyone has some expertise in how to do this, please share the tricks and traps of using Instagram. I have zero need to hire an “Influencer”. Just need to learn how this platform is used successfully for marketing items.

Many thanks in advance. Mods- didn’t know where to put this but since the replies may likely be overwhelmingly opinion opposed to fact, G.Q. didn’t seem right. Move if need be !

I have no answers, just all the same questions (showing off and selling art, in my case).

But I can tell you, googling it will give you tons of advice.

To start with, there’s your Instagram feed and then Instagram stories which are visible for 24 hours. The Instagram feed is permanently visible and you see that by scrolling through your feed.

Mine’s linked in my profile and I added a story. I’ll find something more interesting as a story tomorrow
