Teaching at a private school?

So here’s the skinny: I’m a (soon to be) graduate from a well-known north american university, and I’ll be leaving with a dual bachelor’s of science and arts in speech pathology and asian history.

I’d like to teach at the university level, but being the poor student that I am it’d be nice if I could secure a dependable income source before even thinking about graduate education. I’m thinking it would be smartest to get a job teaching, and since google yields oodles of worthless publicity pages I thought I’d throw it out to the (hopefully) wide range of informants that populate the SDMB: as far as private schools in north america (or Japan, India, or Thailand) go, are there any that stand out as being particularly outstanding as far as the level of their students goes?

It seems to me the best method would be to figure out where you might like to live, then research schools in that area.

I would imagine any private school renowned enough to earn a strong national reputation would be unlikely to hire a new graduate with no experience.
