My background is in graphic design for print. I’ve been at it over 20 years, and along the way have taught myself Quark Xpress, Photoshop and Illustrator, mostly from books, but also by just doing it and figuring it out as I went.
I’ve been thinking it would be a good idea to learn something about web design, and my instinct is that Dreamweaver is a good place to start. Amazon has several instructional books available, including a “Missing Manual”, “Hands On Training” and one published by Macromedia.
Any opinions on a good book, or alternate types of training (on-line tutorials? CD-ROM-based?) would really be appreciated.
