Sammy just* has to get his brain cryogenically frozen, and then just* upload it to a suitably capable substrate, such as the IBM Summit OLCF-4 with 250 petabytes of storage and consuming 13 megawatts of power or, in the case of Sammy’s brain specifically, perhaps a Commodore 64 powered by a 9-volt battery would work just as well. Sammy’s brain could then be contained in this environment until medical science could finally deal with whatever the fuck is wrong with him.
