For a split second there I read “incel” as “imbecile”, which goes to show that our immediate first impressions of words tend to be appropriate to the context.
Well, he was certainly active in this thread. (That’s the one where he claims that women didn’t like being slaves because it meant their offspring had less of a chance of survival, although most of his posts in that thread were just as creepy.)

Sammy also has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of machine learning. Notice the routine appearance of the word “just” here, which in common parlance is an expression of simplicity – which indeed everything is to Sammy’s giant throbbing brain – so the entire discipline of machine learning has been reduced by Sammy to a mere 26 words following “just”. That’s pretty much all there is to it: a description for a dataflow and some instructions.
We do, however, have to keep in mind, as noted earlier, that “just” is also a unit of measure and implies the recruitment of 3.762 x 10[sup]9[/sup] self-replicating nanobots to support Sammy’s initiative, every single one of the intelligent nanobots just bursting with dataflows and some instructions, so you bet they’re learning like billy-o!
I noted today that he’s not logged on since yesterday, and his last post was in his thread. . . the “Last Time Addendum” post, which was a full twenty-five minutes after his ‘Absolute final post. I really, really mean it!’
I note, that a quick look indicates his last activity: Yesterday 12:47 AM (MDT). Why do I bring this up? Because I know he’s lurking and reviewing this thread. But we’ll know when he logs in to look and post. The longer he doesn’t log in, the better off we all are.

Sometimes it’s important to give the lay reader a definitive number to correlate to an abstract measurement. That’s just good ol’ science.

That’s a good question. I would think the strict defininition of “incel” (from what I remember as “involuntary celibate”) would mean that if he did* copulate/fornicate, then it was voluntary (although expensive), and he no longer qualifies to self-nominate. He would have voluntarily forked over that $500, so, he loses his claim to that status.
If he didn’t actually find a hooker, then he’s a flat out liar, but at least he can claim “incel” as an occupation on his tax returns.
*Note: I want to cast aspersions on anything he says of his sexual “condition.” Come to think of it too, I have doubts about his military service. Something just doesn’t add up. . .

Either way, whether he’s lying about being an incel, or lying about getting hookers . . . he’s a liar.
Wouldn’t that mean anyone who could possibly scrape up a few hundred bucks, even if once a year or whatever, cannot claim to be an incel if they are spending that money on something other than basic needs at the bottom of the Maslow pyramid?
Being an incel is not inextricably linked to actual sexual activity. There is a subgroup of incels who have girlfriends and engage in regular sexual activity. But not with “Stacys” or whatever they call them. They don’t think it ‘counts’ unless they are with supermodels or some other stupid shit.
It’s not about the sex (well, not entirely anyway). It’s about the extreme inferiority complex they have, which causes them to sometimes act or speak out in bizarre and unhealthy ways.
Exactly to my point below…
You need a way to incorporate some minorities into that picture.

I think the whole sex with hookers braggadacio sounds phony, like a sort of incel Walter Mitty. Doesn’t it sound to you like he’s trying
way too hard? He’s already said he’s too unattractive to attract women–classic incel. I’m thinking young, bitter, racist, misogynist, physically unattractive, and works in a just-above-entry position in IT. In other words, incel.
I’ll make a wage: SamuelA’s last activity was on 06-24-2019 12:47 AM (MDT). I’ll bet that he’ll avoid us, specifically this thread, and will return to the SDMB ten days from his last activity +/- 12 hours.
