It galling to me that even this supposedly ivy league conservative debate champion smart guy couldn’t foresee the negativity that would come out from doing something like this. Every time I think a particular Republican really can’t be that stupid and they are just faking it, I get proof that they really are idiots
Right, the stupid part is that he doesn’t think the Obamacare exchanges are a good thing. Or anything about Obamacare. Yet, as far as I know, he has no better plan.
Fuck him and the dog he rode in on.
From what I understand, they could have stayed on his wife’s employer’s plan through COBRA, at least for eighteen months. COBRA’s expensive though, since you’re paying both your share and the employer’s share of the costs. Is Cruz too cheap to stand up for a principle?
In fairness, “I never said I didn’t want to have it. I said I didn’t want everyone else in the country to have it.” - said by not really Ted Cruz
Canadian blood?
He could totally eliminate all liberal criticism if he just said “I was wrong about Obamacare, its great, it saves people money and saves me and my family money. Everyone should go on it. We should not try to repeal it, we should instead put into place the same plan for every state so that no one is uncovered if they choose not to be.”
Of course then he’d get criticized by the conservatives instead, but those people are idiots
