It’s interesting that “boof” had the same slang meaning where I was, on the east coast. I wonder how it became so ubiquitous? We used to laugh about it, and we were only seven or so.

I was a teen…in the 80s…on the east coast…and I’ve NEVER heard that. How sheltered was I?
