OK, I’m home from work feeling a little under the weather. There isn’t much to do, the daytime TV sucks. I’ve settled on napping through Teen Wolf.
Why does Micheal J. Fox’s character call his girlfriend Boof?

When we were kids and this movie came out “Boof” was the local slang term for, um, anal intercourse. We found this portion of the film to be endlessly hilarious.
Same here!
Yeah, same here too. It was short for Bu-Fu (pronounced boo-foo), which was in turn short for butt fuck.
ETA: It’s a bit of onomatopoeia as well, innit?
Same here.
But to answer the OP’s question, I don’t think they ever mention it in the movie.
My God how sick do you have to be to even nap through Teen Wolf?
Well of course not, it was a PG movie.
lol. That isn’t the real question. The real question is: How bad is daytime TV if this is the best you can find?
I confess I’m stunned. I never dreamed this would be difficult for the teaming millions.
It’s interesting that “boof” had the same slang meaning where I was, on the east coast. I wonder how it became so ubiquitous? We used to laugh about it, and we were only seven or so.
This guy legally changed his name to Boof just because it was his childhood nickname. Minnesota Twins pitcher
I grew up on the East Coast too.
I’m still wondering how Teen Wolf managed to get a PG rating, what with all the sex jokes and Stiles wearing a T-shirt with the words “What are you looking at, dicknose?” on it. Nowadays it would at least get a PG-13, I think.
You used to be able to show boobs in PG movies.
Do you realize that I would maim for a copy of this t-shirt, as well as for the horizontal line sunglasses that he rocks as well? Well I would.
Espeically the louvered sunglasses now that I think about it. If anyone knows where I can get some of those, I’d love a link.
OK. One last bump. Then I will accept that I’ve stumped the dope.
I suppose that there’s no concrete answer to your question. He calls her “Boof” because that’s her nickname. There’s no backstory given as to how she earned that particular honor besides the giggling supposition of what appears to be most of our generation of viewers. There’s no reason that they give for calling “Stiles” such either.
Other than his surname is Stilinski.
I believe Stiles nickname came from his last name, Stilinski. And I also believe some one has beat me to that assumption.
