I hope these kids get what they have coming to them, legally and karmaically. What pieces of shit wastes of carbon.
Seeing as how they were stupid enough to abandon the video camera and incriminating tapes they took of themselves committing their crimes inside their broken down car, which was left stalled in front of the local hall of justice, I’m confident that their lives will continue to be full of surprises. Most of them will probably be rather unpleasant, but they should learn to expect this. The negative karma they have just earned during this little jaunt should last for years.
What type of punishment can we hope for?
IANAL but I have some experience with the juvenile court system if you know what I mean. 
It’s going to depend on their priors. If they don’t have any priors, my guess is that they’ll get community service, probabtion and possibly a fine. You’ve got to fuck up a few times or do something really bad to get locked up as a juvie.
The adult may get a short sentence may also get tagged with contributing to the delinquency of minors which might make it a little tougher on him, but again, it’s probably going to take priors to get him locked up.
If it was up to me, I’d just turn them all loose in that same neighborhood for an evening, give them a ten second head start and then let the homeless guys give chase (armed with their own tazers of course). It would be entertaining and just.

This thread and the story behind it make me sad. I am trying to tell myself that people have always been this bad (as though that would be a comfort somehow), and that we just have better information access these days but it is hard to not feel that things are getting worse.

I almost want to become some vigilante dressed like a hobo. I’m late enough for work everyday though, without being out all night meeting out street justice.
I’m hoping the district attorney enhances their charges due to exposing others to bodily fluids. Many places consider that a crime by itself (when it is not consensual).
These are truly sick and twisted little fucks. I’m hoping their community service consists of cleaning the nastiest and most reeking toilets the judge can find for them, with no air freshener allowed. They need to be on the receiving end of some bodily byproducts. What they really need is to run up against a group of these homeless people when they’re wide awake. There’s little that could be done to them that wouldn’t be fair.
I’ve worked with the homeless and many of them are medically frail from exposure and compromised immune systems. A tasar shock could just as easily have killed one of these innocent people. Each one of the defendants should face multiple assault charges for both the taser and exposure to bodily fluids.
