Brain chip reads man’s thoughts
Wow. Just wow. How long more before we can jack into the matrix?
I’ve wondered the same since I first heard of vision implants a few years ago.
My best guess is that it would be technically feasible in fifteen or twenty years if the research money is there, but it’s pretty unlikely to show up on the open market that soon. Take a look at William Gibson’s Neuromancer trilogy or his collection Burning Chrome for one version of what it might ‘look’ like. (Don’t see the movie of Johnny Mnemonic!)
Of course, IM and chat will be even quicker and easier, so we may lose track of which thoughts are our own. We can all be Borg!
