We have a Telezapper–I am not sure if we get less annoying calls with it or not.
Our town recently instituted a computer calling system where all the homes in town can be called to give out some vital information. It is not going to work with houses that have a Telezapper.
So I guess I should disconnect the thing. What do you think?
I was about ready to get a TeleZapper myself, but then I had heard about the national “Do Not Call List” that the government was setting up, so I passed on it.
I signed up our household telephone number on it.
Since that legislation went into effect, my telemarketer calls have been reduced to just about zero.
What kind of “vital information” might you miss out on if you kept your Telezapper? Is it information you might reasonably expect to get through other channels?
Initially, being on the DNC list seemed to help, but I’ve noticed my Telezapper screening more calls in the last month or so than it did previously. I love and adore my 'Zapper, even with the annoying little “beep” it emits every time I pick up a call.
