It seems, from what I can gleam so far, that Christiadelphians are a small Christian denominations that have beliefs similar to those of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. (I’d be interested in knowing how the two differ, other than organizationally.)
So, tell me about them (or you, if you are one). How are they different? What makes the Christadelphian message better or worse than the others out there? How are Christadelphian Christians different in comportment?
The only thing a can reliably remember about my brief encounter with the Christadelphians 20 years ago was their belief that Jesus did not exist prior to his birth on earth. He was the son of God and the son of man(or woman). They do not believe in the trinity.
Oh, and in 1988, Jesus was scheduled to return here on Earth. That would be 40 years (one biblical generation) after the rebirth of the State of Israel. I wonder what they would say about that now?
Their main points of conflict with “mainstream” Christianity seem to be over the deity of Jesus - they place greater emphasis on his human nature - and the importance of baptisim for salvation - essential, not just desirable.
Christadelphians would seem to be similar to JW’s in that they are in conflict with the mainstream church over the nature of the divinity of Jesus and the consequences that this has for the nature/doctrine of the Trinity, but seem to be quite different in other areas…
