I’ve lived in both, and Nashville is nothing like Pittsburgh. We’ll, they both speak a similar language and the dominant bipeds are the same species, but not a whole lot of similarities really.
I think you’re talking about the people and I’m talking about the cultural amenities, size, cost of living, etc 
Gas is cheap. Rent cheap, too, as is real estate.
But nearby communities are cheaper with both.
Again, have your daughter check out Murfreesboro as a place to live. Safer & cheaper, with a bus line to Nashville.
