My 2 year contract at Cingular will be ending soon and I will probably renew. I decided to upgrade my phone but there are so many options and technologies that I am very confused. I was thinking of getting a refurbed phone, but none of my friends have any experience with them. I’d like to spend <$150 including tax and accessories but I am willing to pay more if it means better reception.
Reception is the biggest thing for me since I am not sure which University I will be going to within the next 2 years and I am looking all over the states. I like to text a lot and unlike my friends, I prefer the bigger sized phones so I don’t have to go hunting for the tiny buttons. I also like to take pictures with my phone and go on the internet but texting and reception are the two biggest concerns.
I went to cingular the other day and the guy was trying to sell me on a 3G Data phone. He said it was the newest technology and a million times better than the old stuff. None of my friends have it so I don’t know if it is worth it.
I don’t mind switching carriers if they have better technology or phones. I’ve just had pretty good reception at cingular across the United States.
