Tell me about the Caribbean in July

I’m an American from the east coast. We’re thinking about two weeks in the Caribbean right after the 4th of July.

Our other vacation choice is California. I’ve been there three times but my spouse has not so that’s why it’s under consideration. Neither of us has ever been to the Caribbean before.

So far St. Lucia, Dominica, Saint Maartin and Tobago seem quite nice. We like bird watching, whale watching, beaches and natural wildlife. We’ll be going with a six year old and hope to spend two weeks there.

Budget is a consideration but not a huge one.

It will be a little less crowded but essentially the same as the rest of the year. The climate tends to be consistent throughout the year with the snow bunnies coming in the winter.
