If there is already a folder of cookies, why does the PC create an index? And, is deleting that index bad when one goes to delete cookies? I assume it can be readily re-generated, true?
Indexes are generally used to speed up lookup-time. Whether or not you can rebuild this particular index file is not clear to me - that can only be done if the information in the index file is also available elsewhere.
