We got rid of our landline several years ago and haven’t missed it. Haven’t really noticed it, in fact.
Dumped the land line about 10 years ago. Never looked back. It just seemed redundant, we were all going to have cell phones anyway.
The down sides have already been mentioned, quality, dropped calls.
Upside, when the phone rings, it’s always for me. (important in the days when I had a teenaged daughter)
No telemarketers.
I can’t imagine why I’d ever have a land line again even if it were free.
