It’s not all negative. Many of my closest friends are guys I went to college with. And alumni from my college share a strong bond in general. It’s definitely a “work hard / play hard” attitude. Like you spend all day in your engineering and business classes but still have time to play Beruit until 3 am in your fraternity house. But as I said, it can suck if it wasn’t your thing. We weren’t in NY or Boston or Chicago. There wasn’t exactly a vibrant local culture outside of the college.
