Tell me about your fingernails: a poll

I haven’t seen my nails very much for over 10 years. I was a chronic nail biter and the only way I could stop was by getting acrylics. I have a hard time getting tips that fit them because they are either too curvy or too flat or too wide or too narrow.

I have had the same nail tech for 5 years, he knows not to ask me what color I want because I hate trying to decide, I’ve had two colors in 5 years. I have very long fingers but at the tips my fingers are a bit fatter so I really need nails otherwise I look like ET. The nails themselves are thin, flexible and flake/peel/break if you look at them. I’m not meant for natural nails.

I prefer red nails. I’m too pale for pinks, too sallow for browns, give me a good old fashioned hollywood icon red any day.

I get alot of compliments on my nails. I am a poker dealer, so I am stuck in an awful uniform and my hands are what the customers see the most. I consider them my bow to vanity.

I had my nails removed after my daughter was born and I went immediately back to biting, chewing, gnawing on them. So back they came. If dog didn’t want me to have beautiful, tastefully long, amazingly thin nails, he would not have made Tony, the best nail tech ever. Perfect job every time. I have found that techs get lazy after a while and don’t do as good a job. I’ve had one other person do my nails in 5 years and that was because Tony was in Vietnam for a month, I hated it and whined the whole month.

My brother? Thick gorgeous hair, thick gorgeous nails, thick gorgeous eyelashes. Why yes, he deserves to suffer.
