Tell me about your Pad

Got the wife one for Xmas…she loves loves LOVES it. Calls it the best present I’ve ever given her.

I wants it, but she password protected it, so I guess that means she wants me to leave it alone. (No, not anything bad, she lets me use it, it’s not like she’s hiding anything) the iPad really comes onto it’s own when you add your email, calendar, hyperlinks, etc…it’s fun to play with someone else’s, but as an occasional user, I’m limited in that I don’t want to sign into my email/Fora/etc.

I want it, but am waiting for the 2.0 announcement, if it’s not all that and a bag of chips, I have a mild curiosity for Honeycomb and Android…the NookColor is interesting if rooted…but man, I’m a full on Apple guy with MacBookPro, Time Capsule, iPhone and three or four iPods…it’s kinda compelling to just get an iPad and keep in the ecosystem.

And I guarantee an iPad 1.0 equivalent Android Slate will be on Woot for $99 sooner than anybody expects.

We’re supposed to be getting an iPad at work for the techs to use, so I’m looking forward to checking it out.

Of course, they have to install the wi-fi hotspot first. *That *project has been on hold for a year.

Ah, I’m an Apple fan (owned an original 128K Mac and a progression of Macs since then) and even I think there’s no reason not to put a USB port on the device.

I don’t have an iPad, but I do have the iPod Touch and I use it vastly more than I ever expected to. Especially since those evil ****** at Firaxis gave away Civilization Revolutions for free one weekend.
