Not a movie, but the sound it makes when you shoot a metroid with a missle in the original Metroid.
Well, there’s another stock scream that I’ve heard now and again…I can’t describe it any better than; “Ayeh-aya-auugh!”
That, and they used in on a “Deep Space Nine” TV spot, once. Overlayed on a shot of Odo being tortured by Garak. Anyone remember that one?
And, speaking of overused SFX…there’s a futuristic “swish” noise they use occasionally, that I first heard in Bungie Software’s Marathon: Infinity, as the “gunfire” sound effect for the “S’pht’kr.”
I always get a little nostalgic when I hear that one.
On the subject of screams, I’ve always liked Goofy’s comical “Yah-hoo-hoo-hooie!”
Whenever a TV or movie character tosses something offscreen and you hear that cat howl and run away?
I love that sound.
