Tell us your top 1- 3 erotic scenes in tv or film

The scenes that go straight to your fun bits in the most intense, no-fail way.

Mine:

  1. Unfaithful. All of them, really, between Lane & Martinez. Floors me. The sequence of Lane on the train, reliving her first encounter with her new lover, is perfection… Been there…every great sexual experience of my life was all about that kind of reliving. And every scene between them has the same intensity and believability, I feel it. Amazing.

  2. Buffy (the Vampire Slayer) is standing on the platform above the club dance floor when Spike enters the scene… enters her? I am not completely certain exactly what transpires, but it’s certainly something, and for me, something intensely yummy.

  3. I am holding this spot open for the moment. There are a few bouncing around in my head.

Honorable mentions that used to rank when I was just a lass:

• Whiting & Hussey in the morning, when Romeo pulls away the sheet and dives into her with “Let me be taken…”

• Jeff Bridges & Rachel Ward in Against All Odds in the cave, mostly because she’s crying and I related to that. The most intensely erotic sex I have ever had generally left me in tears.

Yours?

It wasn’t a sex scene exactly, but the scene in “From Dusk Till Dawn” when Salma Hayek comes out and does that dance with the snake is one of the only times I’m fairly sure I actually sat there in the theater agape and may have made some incoherent noises. Definitely very erotic and sensual… right up to the end of the dance.

I must be an old grouch bc I hate 99% of sex scenes on TV and Movies. Just show the initial kiss and move on to the next scene. No need for the cheesy music, and the slow motion choreography.

That said, I like @bump 's submission. Salma is beautiful and that scene was a creative way to do sexy.

Don’t Look Now (Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie).

You know, I’m sure, that they were having real sex? Or at least, that’s what has always been said about it.

In the tv series Shtisel, Akiva is enamored with the young twice widowed Elisheva and pursues her and she finally agrees to date him. But she’s conflicted about it and one day he visits her home and they almost kiss, oh I wanted them to kiss very much the tension was unbearable or maybe it was I who wanted to kiss Akiva :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:anyway it left me breathless and then they parted without the kiss. Time stood still in that moment! She moved to London to get away from the past.

Sorry, no boner, but I think great filmmaking made one of the most powerfully erotic scenes on film also one of the least explicit. Ulysses and Delmar being seduced by the Sirens in O Brother Where Art Thou?

There’s a dream sequence in an episode of ‘House’ after Cut Throat Bitch (Amber) has died. She appears, they talk about medical stuff, yadda yadda, and he’s sitting in an office chair, and she straddles him and they begin to kiss…it is a very hot 30 seconds before he wakes up. I still think Hugh Laurie was and still is hot as lava.

One of the most explicit in a mainstream movie, sure, but erotic? Nobody has sex like that, they do ridiculous naked gymnastics (ok, I concur, maybe that is the best description for any kind of sex, but still). I was a horny teenager looking out for those kind of scenes in late night movies on German TV in the eighties when I first saw “Don’t Look Now”, and even then I laughed at that scene. The rest of the film is good, though.

I hadn’t even realized that the Wachowskis had made anything prior to The Matrix until I saw Bound recommended in a list of the best neo-noir movies. It is certainly a terrific movie and the minute and a bit, single shot sex scene between Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly is a real bonus.

Just remembered the only time Tom Cruise has been truly sexy: with Rebecca DeMornay on the train. That’s a very shivery moment in cinema, for sure.

No argument from me.

When Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis know they’re about to have sex in Witness.

The car washing scene in “Cool Hand Luke”.

Some of these may be available as Youtube clips; if so you might cite.

Body Heat - Kathleen Turner standing in the room and William Hurt breaks in a door to get to her. The raw emotion was Sexier than the consensual sex scene.

All the Right Moves - Lea Thompson visits Tom Cruise plays the saxophone (not a euphemism) and things heat up. Tom’s nude scene was quite explicit for 1983.

First Love - William Katt and Susan Dey. It’s one of my favorite romance movies. The bedroom scene is very sensually done.

aaaaawww the shot of her placing down her bonnet aaaawwww

The scenes of love in:

Clockwork Orange
Being There
Women in Love (ok maybe more competitive grappling than mutual intimacy, there, perhaps…)
Liquid Sky
the afterwards in Kingpin
the one in The Tin Drum was definitely the most desperation-charged I’ve ever seen
John Huston’s camera following Nicholson and Huston fille rolling back and forth together on the floor in Prizzi’s Honor.

Being There??!
