I was excited to see one of my favorite bands on tour, but they are without Alvin Lee who apparently tours separately. I’m torn on whether to go. Anyone seen them?
How can they possibly call themselves Ten Years After if Alvin Lee isn’t in the band?
Well they have 3 of the original four. so maybe they could call themselves 7 1/2 Years After.
I’m wondering the same thing. From what I hear, Joe Gooch (and yes, that really is his name, poor guy) doesn’t even attempt to sound just like Alvin Lee. They play the same songs, but they are a different band now.
Leo Lyons is still a fantastic bassist, though.
