I saw the D on Monday night in SF…I was wondering if anyone noticed the same thing I did, or if I was just hallucinating. Were their instruments totally out of key once they switched to electric? Of course on the fan website everybody says “dude, they totally rocked!” and the review in the Chronicle didn’t mention anything about it. But I would swear that their instruments were out of key and that Jack Black was getting really pissed off about it. It stalled the show right in the middle. I swear hardly anyone in the audience seemed to notice, but it was really obvious to me. Anyone else notice this? I was kind of disappointed about it. The band rocked but they should fire whatever roadie “tuned” their guitars.
BTW their versions of Flash and Pinball Wizard were awesome.
