Tenuate, anyone taken it for appetite control

I exercise 45 min. a day, and have been for over 6 mos. with no results. At the advice of Dopers I have ramped up the intensity of the workout for the past couple of months, and still nothing. So I am trying this. Any stories?

Have you been logging what you are eating and keeping an eye on that? Do you have any specific dieting strategy?

I don’t really know many people who have successfully lost (and kept it off) just by exercising more without at least halfway watching what they ate.

I agree with randomface, only more strongly.

You really can’t lose much just by increasing exercise, because your body will just prompt you to eat more. You have to improve what you eat. By “improve” I mean make the calories you consume work for you, and reduce the number of calories.

There’s a whole industry and culture around weight loss, too much to put into one post. But to start out, refined carbs are pretty much useless if you want to lose weight, so cut out as many of those as possible (yes, including bread). You might want to try one of the low-carb programs like, is it Atkins? or South Beach. Combine that with exercise that includes lots of cardio work, and you’ll see some results.

Get yourself educated about nutrition. You’ll have to do a lot of that to counter all the nonsense that passes for commonsense nutrition rules these days.

Yep, I have a calories app on my phone that I use, and to nada. Thanks, but I specifically want to know about Tenuate.
