I’m not sure if it counts for anything but on The Sarah Connor Chronicles a T-888 fails to recognize a T-1001. He shoots the crap out of her thinking she’s human and dies about two seconds later when she stabs into him and an electrical box at the same time.
I’m not sure that’s failure to recognize so much as it is a “what the hell else is he going to do?” sort of thing. Projectile weapons seem to tbe the only thing that slow those guys down. As Arnie learned, you definitely do NOT want to engage one hand to hand.
Way I see it, John would run like hell from T-800 at the mall, probably at some point try to get home for supplies and warn the foster dicks, and them bam, the floor kills him.
Both times that happened in my family, it was devastating.
The T-888 knew who she was (even asked her her name before busting caps) but not what she was. If he knew he was going up against a T-1001 he would have brought heavier artillery.
The reason for the “Get out” line to the helicopter pilot was to mimic the “Get out” line to the truck driver from “Terminator”. Got huge laughs & cheers in the theater. Let’s not let the fanwanking get out of hand.
Ah. I was wondering what the hell everyone was talking about. What switch?
Don’t splash your messy reality on my fanwanking!
Well, DUH, it was a reference to the first movie.
The extended version has a number of deleted scenes, but I have to admit, none of them are necessary to the plot and may even slow it down or add more confusion.
YouTube partial compilation, starting with the “switch” scene, but also including a pointless (albeit mildly amusing) scene where Arnie tries to learn to smile and the T-1000 suffering post-freeze “glitches”.
