Am I the only one who noticed from the T3 trailers that, assuming the humans lost, it could lead right into the matrix saga? Of course the humans probably won’t lose, but it’d still be great. Both are made by Fox I believe, so it really wouldn’t be too implausible to bridge the two. What’s anyone else think?
I doubt it, consdering the Teminator is already strenching it’s premise as it is.
I was under the impression the first one that Skynet was destroyed and sending Arnie back was it’s last ditch measure. So why did it have time to send back 2 more advanced ones, let along produce them?
As my eyes flashed across the title of this thread, the image of a Dominatrix Terminator filled my head.
:eek:
That was the original name of the new female terminator. It was some stupid combination of terminator and dominatrix.:rolleyes:
While ‘dominatrix’ was likely an influence (As, I’m sure, was The Matrix) ‘-trix’ is a standard feminine form of ‘-tor’.
Executor => Executrix
Aviator => Aviatrix
Dominator => Dominatrix (There was a meaning shift in there, but…)
Terminator => Terminatrix
“Strenching”. I don’t care if the movie’s any good or not, I’m stealing that word. The cross between “stretching the premise” and “stench” that it evokes is just too good to let go.
**HPL[/], Skynet could have sent all 3 at the same time right before it was destroyed. Maybe even 4 or 5 if they plan on anymore sequels.
You can have it, particulary since it was originally due to my own inability to spell certain words correctly(and pronoucing the T in Planetarium due to a wierd bone diease).
It’s already been said, but there’s no implication that that’s the case. Ignoring the third one as I haven’t seen it and therefore can’t retrofix any of its continuity errors, but if you’re an evil machine and a dude named John Connor is overthrowing you, and you have a time machine that can send a liquid metal machine back in time, where do you send it? To kill John Connor. And if you’re the good guys, and have a reprogrammed terminator, you send it back to protect John Connor.
Then, later, Skynet decides to send another terminator back, this time to kill John’s mother. However, the good guys get wind of this as they’re smashing up Skynet, and send back Reese to try and stop it, because they have nothing better to send back.
After watching the Animatrix: The Second Renaissance, 01’s armies would have kicked Skynet’s shiny metal ass.
Yes, as I made the title to this thread I remembered reading a reference to the chick in T3 as a Terminatrix. Does that mean if they were twins they would be called Terminatrices?
The Matrix is Warner Bros.
Arnold would be entertaining as Smith.
My question is, what’s the deal with this “one at a time” stuff? If you really want to make sure Connor’s snuffed, why not send a half dozen TXs? It’s not as if Skynet is operating under budget constraints.
Skynet: “We will send back 200 TXs to elimate young Connor.”
AccountantNet: “Impossible. Those funds were allocated for the company picnic.”
Skynet: “Blast!”
