I mean, I like that up to a point, but then I think I’d really like to see some actual sword fighting/hand-to-hand maneuvers being pulled.
Yes, that’s the same Perfect Blue your talking about. It’s very good and a nice change of pace from the giant robots that seem to be everywhere in anime.

It’s not Dragonball Z at least. The fights are a little more detailed and choreographed. They don’t focus on ‘powering up’ for 30 minutes. Definitely one of the better action animes out there.
It has fairly long fights, but stuff’s actually HAPPENING. And it has a) interesting techniques, and b) neat ‘explain what the HELL just happened’ bits which are often more amusing than the fights themselves.
