Testing my sig.

This is the test.

Greater/less thans are vB, square brackets are HTML. Right. Got it. Maybe?

You have your tags reversed, Stephen. The link above explains vB coding.

Thanks, UncleBeer. Actually, I just typed it out wrong. (Note to self: Never change mind in mid-sentence…) Adding the bracket I forgot…

Hmm, still no good. Here’s what my .sig is supposed to look like:

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time…

And it looks good in preview. Why isn’t it working? (And will the actual .sig show up in preview, along with the body of a message?)

And of course, you need to actually see the code, so we’ll switch the brackets again:

Well, it {i}seemed{/i} like a good idea at the time…

Where all the square brackets have been replaced by curly brackets, of course.

It appears your coding is not the problem. But I think I do know what’s happening. Actually I have two related suggestions.

  1. There’s a little check box to “Show Signature” just above the Submit Reply button. If you haven’t checked that before hitting “Submit” your sig will not be attached to your post.
1a) Or, you’ve already checked that box and then selected “Preview Reply.” Previewing will clear any of those check boxes you’ve selected. You need to select them again after previewing. This is a known bug in the vB software.

I hope this helps, Steve.

Oh, and as you’ve probably already noticed, your sig does not display in the preview window.
